Are you involved in projects that try to increase the involvement of ordinary citizens in decision-making? Have you considered running a project that will engage people in the big issues, increasing their voice?
You may be surprised to learn that the Europe for Citizens Programme funds Civil Society Projects that fund this very activity – opinion gathering and knowledge sharing between citizens all over Europe. Grants of up to €150,000 are available and nonprofits and community groups, not just local authorities, can apply. The next funding deadline is 1 March 2018.
To help organisations make an application to this grant scheme, The Wheel will be running a short application workshop on Wednesday, 24 January 2018 from 9.30am-1pm at the Nano Nagle Place in Cork city centre. The event will give a run-down of the application process and perfect your proposal writing skills.
Geared towards staff from local authorities and voluntary organisations, this event is FREE but requires registration. Book your place here now to avoid disappointment!
