Local Link Cork wish to bring you up to date regarding Rural Transport services in your area. The Rural Transport Programme has been transferred to the National Transport Authority (NTA) and is now branded as Local Link. In the case of Cork it is now known as Local Link Cork. Nearly all of the established Rural Transport Services in Cork still remain in place as before. The main difference is that the management of the services is now from the Local Link Cork office which is located at Council Offices, Courthouse Road, Fermoy, Co Cork. Local Link Cork is looking forward to working with all the various Community Groups and Organisations throughout the County with a view to continuing existing Rural Transport provision and looking at opportunities to develop and expand services where possible. With this in mind Local Link Cork are holding a number of open invitation evenings for people to drop in and have a chat with them regarding services in their area. This will be an essential step to improve existing services and explore the possibility of developing new services if resources become available to do so. There are three open evenings planned as follows:- 1. Fermoy: Council Offices, Courthouse Road Fermoy, Co Cork. Thursday December 3rd 5.00pm to 8.00pm 2. Duhallow: Banteer Community Hall, Banteer, Co. Cork. Monday December 07th 5.00pm to 8.00pm 3. Midleton: SECAD Offices, Knockgriffin, Midleton, Co Cork. Thursday December 10th 5.00pm to 8.00pm Local Link Cork look forward to welcoming you at either of the evenings to meet with Local Link Staff and have an informal chat about any of the services. If you cannot make either of the events but wish to contribute, please contact the office in Fermoy on 025-51454 or e-mail info@locallinkcork.ie.
