Organisation Description Mallow Development Partnership (MDP), works with business, community and statutory bodies and the Kanturk/Mallow Municipal Committee of Cork County Council to develop, communicate opportunities and implement plans for the economic, social and environmental development of the town of Mallow. The MDP daily activities include strategic business planning, pro-active sectoral development, feasibility assessment and management of projects, area branding, promotion, marketing and networking, communications and monitoring/evaluation of projects and activities. Administrative Project Coordinator : Post Summary The role of Administrative Project Coordinator involves assisting the Management Committee and Chairpersons of the Project Pillars of MDP in the above functions and communicating with local government bodies and the business and community networks in the Mallow area. Core Responsibilities
  • The development and management of a marketing, branding and communication strategy and programme, including website and social media action plan.
  • Coordinating activities with public and private sector agencies and stakeholders, including the organisation and administration of meetings and presentations.
  • To assist with managing and executing reports and assignments for the preparation of project proposals and other reports within an annual budget in accordance with the aims of MDP.
 Salary: Circa €40,000 per annum Appointment on the above range will be dependent on qualifications and experience as outlined below. Requirements The candidate should have a third level qualification in one of the following disciplines: Marketing, Communications, Public Administration, Business or related discipline, and at least two years’ experience in a similar role.   Preference in short-listing will be given to those with:
  • Experience in communication, promotion, marketing and branding,
  • Experience of Community Capacity Building
  • Experience gained in the preparation and appraisal of projects, for example, in pre-feasibility and feasibility work,
  • Experience in procurement, project management and project implementation support,
  • Experience of IT office and web development tools, including databases.
  • Experience of EU policies and procedures concerning researching and funding of projects.
  • Experience in working on projects, such as those developed by LEADER and Enterprise Authorities, in conjunction with Municipal Authorities and Urban and Rural Development Agencies.
