The
Dormant Accounts Fund is a scheme for the disbursement of unclaimed funds from accounts in credit institutions in Ireland. The fund is administered under the 2001 Dormant Accounts Act, together with the Unclaimed Life Assurance Policies Act 2003 and the Dormant Accounts (Amendment) Act 2012 and is under the statutory function of the Minister of the Environment, Community and Local Government with effect from the 1st January 2013.
Monies may be disbursed in accordance with Part 6 of the 2012 Act for the purposes of programmes or project to assist:-
• The personal and social development of persons who are economically or socially disadvantaged
• The educational development of persons who are educationally disadvantaged or
• Persons with a disability (within the meaning of the Equal Status Act 2000)
The Dormant Accounts Action Plan 2014 has been adopted by the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government and applications are now sought from eligible organisations under 8 Measures.
Applications under DAF can only be made via an online application form which is planned to be available to access on this webpage from Wednesday 1st July 2015.
The closing date for completion of the online application form is 12 noon on Wednesday 22nd July 2015.

Four pre-application regional information meetings will take place during the month of June.
Please note that places are limited and given the expected level of interest across the DAF Measures, attendance is restricted to one representative per organisation. Therefore we encourage you to register early.
