Cork County Council COVID-19 Community Emergency Fund

Cork County Council – as part of its COVID-19 Community Support Programme – has launched a COVID-19 Community Emergency Fund for groups across the county who are assisting in the response efforts to the COVID-19 emergency.

The fund forms part of a programme of measures developed by Cork County Council in collaboration with a range of statutory, voluntary and community organisations who are leading the response at a local level. A dedicated fund of €116,277 is being made available and groups and organisations are invited to apply via a convenient and accessible online application process.

The fund is intended to support exceptional one-off costs incurred by community and voluntary groups involved in the response to the Covid-19 crisis and is part of an overall National Emergency Package of €2.5 million from the Department of Rural and Community Development.

In acknowledgement of the contribution of the community and voluntary sector during the COVID-19 pandemic, priority is being given to groups involved in the front-line delivery of community response work.

Applications are now invited from relevant groups/organisations at The closing date for receipt of applications is 5pm on Friday May 8th 2020.
