Avondhu Blackwater Partnership is the integrated LEADER Partnership Company for North County Cork and the organisation was incorporated in June 2008, following the strategic integration of Blackwater Resource Development and Avondhu Development Group. Currently, the organisations core responsibilities include the delivery of the Rural Development Programme (RDP), Local Community Development Programme (LCDP formerly known as LDSIP), the Rural Transport Programme, Community Connect, Rural Social Scheme and TÚS.. 

Avondhu Blackwater Partnership has also successfully administered the LEADER II, LEADER+, NRDP, EQUAL Community Initiative, INTERREG IIIB, Article 6, and a number of smaller EU and Exchequer funded schemes.

The objectives of the organisation include community animation, project facilitation, project administration, training and community integration within the remit of various funding programmes implemented. A key function of Avondhu/ Blackwater Partnership is to establish or to support initiatives directed towards sustainable community development. During the last thirteen years of operation, the organisation has been responsible for drawing more than €25m of programme aid into the Avondhu /Blackwater area of operation.
