Each Tuesday for the month of November Blackwater Community Connect will hold a ‘Singalong Hour’ at the Mill in Castletownroche beginning at 11am on November 5th. Singing allows us to forget our troubles and worries and singing in a group also has social benefits, especially for people living in remote and rural areas. Singing also relieves us of stress, depression and improves our mental alertness while also widening our circle of friends.
If you play an instrument and would like to bring it along please do. Tom will facilitate the group along with his guitar and a songbook will be available on the day to remind us of the words of some of our old favourites. Not interested in singing, then we also welcome stories and poems. Refreshments will be served.
